    My father (85 years old – suffers from vascula dementia) believes he is being taken to another room at night.
    He spends time trying to find this other room.
    I spoke to a dementia support hotline (DBMAS) and they said that we should not agree with him, nor should we argue with him or try to reason with him.

    It is getting increasingly difficult.

    Hi Hazza, Do you think it would help if his name and/or a familiar picture is put on his door? When I was visiting my dad at an aged care place, another resident had a laminated A4 sized photo of his red Massey Ferguson tractor. I thought this was a great idea.
